Xu, Hai ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0004-5156-4460 (2024) Investigation of High Torque Density Dual Permanent Magnet Machines. PhD thesis, University of Sheffield.
Abstract
Dual-permanent magnet (PM) machines with PMs in both stator and rotor have the advantage of remarkably high torque density and are promising candidates for direct-drive applications. This thesis comprehensively investigates the dual-PM machines and addresses the challenges of torque improvement, manufacturing difficulty, and safe operation.
