Abstract

The work in this thesis focuses on the synthesis and characterisation of stimulus-responsive polymeric nano-objects. More specifically well-defined diblock copolymers are prepared in water using reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerisation. Such diblock copolymers self-assemble into nano structures in situ by a technique known as polymerisation-induced self-assembly.
