Value’s shadow: artistic form in the era of global finance.
PhD thesis, University of Leeds.
Abstract
This project combines artistic practice, historical research and materialist theory. Undertaken simultaneously, the constellation of methods innovates a model of critical practice that turns the suspensive, distributive qualities of postconceptual art against the mechanics of global finance. The submission comprises artworks, a core written thesis and a theoretical excursus.
