Abstract
This thesis explores current food consumption practices in Egypt and their relationship to sustainability through a qualitative approach grounded in social practice theory. It contributes to the field of sustainable food consumption by exploring the effect of social and contextual dimensions on food practices. Existing research often focuses on individual characteristics, undermining the influence of social practices, norms, and value systems. This thesis takes a holistic approach, considering the broader social context that shapes food consumption practices in Egypt.
