Du, Xiaoxue (2022) Optical and Fluorescent Biosensor Based on Liquid Crystals. PhD thesis, University of Leeds.
Abstract
As the perception of liquid crystals gradually deepens, more researchers try to apply different phases and of liquid crystals and different configurations of them to various fields. A detailed research study of sensors based on liquid crystals in different configurations is presented in this thesis. Besides, the form in which liquid crystals exist in the sensing system (droplets, films, elastomers, etc.) does not limit their contributions in the field of sensors. Each form of the liquid crystal has its own special application in the field of sensor according to their characteristics.
